Pregnancy Massage (Initial and Subsequent Treatments)
Prenatal massage focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. The prenatal period can be a very stressful, physical, and emotional time for a mother-to-be which is why proper management of stress itself can prove beneficial. Some benefits of massage therapy include but are not limited to: enhancing the function of muscles and joints, improving circulation (therefore reducing edema and blood pressure) as well as general body tone, relieving mental and physical fatigue, aiding in proper posture, and reducing fluid retention, headaches, and sinus congestion.
